“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”--Mark Twain
when i started traveling, blogging wasn't as popular as it is now. thus, to get information on the places i wanted to check out - turning to books was the first option for me. secondly, i didn't trust the Internet then. good thing that Lonely Planet exists. they provided any traveler with as much information about a certain place. currently, i only have two Lonely Planet books; 1) Philippines and 2) Southeast Asia editions. I only have these two not because LP books aren't any good, but because it's much cheaper to just browse other people's blogs and get more updated information. cheapskate reasons aside, i'd say LP books are truly remarkable; just notice the tattered look of my Philippine edition.
